Installing round downpipe spiked brackets*

Installing round downpipe brackets with bases Pierce the wall. Insert the plug. Remember to adapt the plug in line with the wall. Our plus is designed for full masonry. Screw the screw onto the bracket base. Screw the whole bracket/screw into the plug by using the 6 sides of the base, so that the bracket is horizontal. Max. torque setting: 4 Nm. Install the downpipe. Re-close the bracket using its second half, around the pipe.

Pre-pierce the wall. For an 8 mm square nail end, pierce the wall with a minimum diameter of 12 mm. Piercing with a diameter of under 12 mm will stress the nail end during installation. This could alter its anti-corrosion protection. Insert the nail end and the first half of the bracket. Seal the nail end using a mortar or cement, for example. Wait for the sealing to dry before installing the drain pipe. Re-close the bracket using its second half, around the pipe.

ANCHOR POINTS

The choice of a round or square downpipe is purely aesthetic. * Spiked round brackets may be replaced by base round brackets with screws for ETI (page 51) in cases of insulated cladding.
